Our team is providing a complete, single-source engineering solution for a luxury residential project in Scottsdale, Arizona. This project is notable for its early adoption of the 2024 IRC and IBC standards, ensuring the highest levels of safety and energy efficiency. Our scope included the main residence, a detached casita, a garage, and several patio cover structures.
Our multi-disciplinary scope of work included:
- Structural Engineering: Comprehensive loading analysis for Wind, Seismic, and Snow loads per ASCE 7. We designed the full structural frame, including CMU/concrete walls, parapets, and a robust lateral force-resisting system with full load path verification. Deliverables included detailed Foundation, Slab-on-Grade, and Shear Wall Layout plans.
- Mechanical Design: Complete HVAC system engineering featuring a high-accuracy Heat Load Report and specialized refrigeration and condensate drain piping plans tailored for the Arizona climate.
- Electrical Design: Full power and lighting design, including Single-Line Diagrams (SLD) and panel schedules optimized for a multi-building residential site.
- Plumbing & Storm Water: Comprehensive utility design including Domestic Water, Sanitary 2D Risers, and Natural Gas Isometric Risers. We also provided a dedicated Storm Water design to manage site drainage effectively.
This project showcases our ability to coordinate complex, multi-building sites while adhering to the most current and rigorous building codes.
