We provided the complete, stamped engineering package for a new Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) for commercial offices in Freeport, Florida. Our design focused on rigid compliance with the rigorous Florida Building Code (FBC) and ASCE 7 requirements, specifically addressing high-velocity wind, seismic, and flood loads critical to coastal Florida projects.
Our integrated scope of work included:
- Structural Design: Detailed calculations for PEMB foundations, slab-on-grade, anchor rods, and base plates designed to resist high wind and flood reactions. This included coordination plans for lateral bracing, checking appendages, mezzanines, and catwalks.
- MEP Design: A fully integrated system package:
- Mechanical: Heat Load Report, full HVAC design including rigid ductwork, and roof plans.
- Electrical: Full power distribution (SLD, panels), lighting, and power design.
- Plumbing: Domestic water, sanitary drainage, rainwater design, and natural gas distribution with isometric risers.
- Fire Protection: Complete, code-compliant Fire Protection design, including zoning, sprinkler plans, and hydraulic calculations (Pipe Net Software) per NFPA 13 requirements.
This project showcases our expertise in delivering specialized, high-performance infrastructure solutions for industrial and commercial structures in demanding regulatory environments.
