S3DA Design provided a complete Structural and MEP engineering package for a new 2,700 sq. ft. single-family residence in California. Our scope of work encompassed all required design, analysis, and documentation to achieve permit-ready submittals, fully compliant with the 2022 California Building Code (CBC) and ASCE 7-16 standards.
Structural Scope:
Our structural design included detailed loading analyses (dead, live, wind, seismic, and roof loads), and full analysis and design of the foundation system, shear walls, load-bearing walls, columns, beams, floor joists, headers, roof framing, trusses/rafters, and connectors. The final package incorporated anchorage checks, base connection design, and complete stamped structural drawings and calculations for permit approval.
Mechanical Design:
The mechanical scope covered system specifications, HVAC load calculations, mechanical floor and roof plans, rigid ductwork layouts, equipment schedules, and detailed design notes to ensure energy efficiency and comfort performance.
Electrical Design:
The electrical package included lighting and power floor plans, panel schedules, single-line diagrams (SLD), electrical load calculations, and full design specifications for residential power distribution and safety compliance.
Plumbing Design:
Our plumbing design incorporated domestic water and sanitary systems, natural gas piping layouts, 2D riser diagrams, and detailed schedules and calculations to meet code requirements and ensure long-term reliability.
This integrated engineering approach delivered a cohesive, code-compliant design solution optimized for performance, constructability, and client satisfaction.
